Have you read this book?

Here's a quote from a book published in 2003, which I found only last summer. I really liked this book, and had a difficult time putting it down. Do you know it?

"My name is Christopher John Francis Boone. I know all the countries of the world and their capital cities and every prime number up to 7,057."

Then, one page later, this quote:

"I like dogs. You always know what a dog is thinking. It has four moods. Happy, sad, cross and concentrating. Also, dogs are faithful and they do not tell lies because they cannot talk."

Because of copyright, I will name the book and the author if nobody comes up with the title first. If you've read the book, I'm pretty sure you'll know it from these quotes.

Fictional characters Trivia

Those of you who are avid readers of fiction (like me) might enjoy participating in what I hope might be a place to share good books and create fun and challenging Book Trivia.
Just to start off, I made a list of a few favorite or memorable fictional characters from books I've read. See if you know some of them, and try to identify from which books (or the authors) these characters appear. (Share this with friends if you want, and add your own trivia bits to the site as well!)
See how many of these characters you can identify:

  • Aurthur Dent
  • Inigo Montoya
  • Owen Meany
  • Luna Lovegood
  • Ramona Quimby
  • Miss Havisham
  • Bartholomew Cubbins
  • Henry Sugar
  • Mr. Darcy and Mr. Bingly
  • Hercule Poirot
  • Bonnie Abzug and Seldom Seen Smith
  • Kilgore Trout
  • Wing Biddlebaum
  • Suzie Salmon
  • Turtle Wexler and Theo Theodorakis
  • Fiver and Hazel
  • Liesel Meminger

Add more characters to the list for the challenge to others, or make up your own trivia challenges for other readers! Enjoy! Share! Read!
